Job Summary:
We are seeking dynamic and motivated Sales Representatives to join our team in Boston and San Francisco. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by building and maintaining relationships with academic institutions, biotech companies, and pharmaceutical firms. You will promote our range of remanufactured and certified lab equipment, ensuring our customers receive the best solutions for their research needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets in your designated territory (Boston or San Francisco).
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors. Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions from our product offerings.
Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of our remanufactured and certified lab equipment, including their applications and benefits. Communicate product features and advantages effectively to customers.
Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging existing relationships.
Sales Presentations: Conduct in-person and virtual sales presentations and product introductions to prospective customers. Highlight the quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our equipment. Instill customer confidence in our product remanufacturing capabilities and after sales service.
Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth sales process. Work closely with the customer support team to meet customer needs.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Share insights with the broader sales and marketing teams to refine strategies.
Reporting: Track sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system. Prepare regular reports on sales forecasting, performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
Qualifications:
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries. Experience selling capital and lab equipment is highly preferred.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
· Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong negotiation, closing, and relationship-building skills.
· Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and explain the technical aspects of lab equipment. Familiarity with the research workflows in academic and commercial labs.
· Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Travel: Willingness to travel within the assigned territory to meet with clients and attend industry events. Occasional travel to company headquarters or other locations may be required.
